72 beetle Steering setup
Ok ive kinda go no idea on how to do this so go easy on me.
I have this setup at the moment


now i had to other box thingo on the left connected but it would turn left allrught but not Right so i took it off.
Where am i going wrong and/or can u indicate where i have gone wrong.

are the steering box & idler arm actually mounted to anything that wont move? doesnt look like it from those pics

the idler arm is the steering box WAS but when i turned left it went fine
and when i turned right it didnt work which was kinda weird so i took the steering box one off and im rethinking on how to do both if neccesary

by the looks of it id say the lengths of angle you welded in to mount the steering box & idler arms stops the arms from them to the bar that joins
them together moving, cant be sure because of angles of pics but id suggest remount the steering box, disconnect the column from the box at the uni
joint then push/pull at the wheels while looking for things interfering with anything that moves, might be worthwhile looking where the body has
clearances for moving parts & try to make the mounts more like that if possible.
