hi, can someone tell me how i can tell if i have a short or long axle on a swingaxle trans. the trans is on the floor and not with the car. it has a disc brake conversion. thanks for your assistance. greg

Ahh now I see your pics, you measure the short part of the axle tube from the spring plate to the drum backing plate I think one is bout 3 and one bout 5 inch long

thanks ian, i took some pics not too clear, i measured it from the back of the disc to axle end its about 70mm, so i suppose that makes it a short axle. can u tell by the pics. greg
