drop spindles wheel rub

i have put new ball joints tie rod ends front shocks disc rotors and bearings on my 68 semi auto beetle

i added dropped spindles
the outer edge of the 165 tyres on stock rims is just rubbing on the inside of the guard with the wheels straight
i would guess someone has come across this before
any ideas on how to fix??????

local bob jane suggested - adjust the camber and tie rod ends and possibly change the tyres to 155

Me thinks the dropped spindles have widened the track

Yes, most of the dropped spindles widen the track. You'll need to lower rear end, that helps a little. Lower profile of front tyre is another gain... you'll experience bump steer as well....
