Black&white checkered vinyl or sticker

Hey Guys & Gals. I saw at the klub fest some wicked stuff but 1 thing is saw was in the engine compartment of a ratbug. It was black & white checkered fire wall... That looked sick. I wish to buy. Any help. Was it painted on or sticker / vinyl.. Cheers Paul

I can remember seeing on more than one occasion, an engine lid interior done in a quilted vinyl...
whether it was white or checkered I can't remember...
I just couldn't believe it wouldn't wrinkle up with the heat from the engine....??

Now that would be time consuming....
Paint floor pan with black paint..
then
using templates cut from cardbord or anything..
with square holes...
paint with white paint...

after that hard work I would then paint it with a few coats of clear epoxy paint so it would last forever.... lol

PS: You could cover the floor with bnlack & white checkered vinyl... but I've never seen the stuff...
apart from the UK where they use it to make bonnet bibs.

I'd guess that the firewall would be painted not vinyl.

Hi

I had a sticker made to put on the dash of my sons 1303, not sure how durable it would be on a pan. You could always paint the pan black and just have white squares cut out to stick on.
