so you have confirmed that the dissy shaft drive gear in the block is not 180 degrees out?
Was the motor working at all before hand? not fresh rebuilt? otherwise i would be curious with cam timing!

well another day another cry i tryed the exhaust idea, with no joy and it's not a new install factory motor was running well just stoped idseling and
the chap i bought it of tryed verything to get it to idel so it's anyones guess what it's been set at .i pulled the dizzy and did an overhaul, start
of problem so i removed the 2 carbys did the wash and blow through with compressor all good,
so i mite as well heave it as is seems to work for the bus,it's just strange when the timing light works at the bottom of the pully,it has 60000 on
the dial the chap i bought it of swares thats correct and after crawling all over it i'm inclined to agree
thanks all for the ideas

I had the dizzy out of my kombi motor the other day.I turned it over by hand a couple of times with the dizzy out and when I went to put it back in I
found the drive gear had popped up and was now out of time.I would check out the position of the drive gear cos this was a really easy mistake to
make.

Dont let it stress you. Just put your timing light on #2 wire. All fixed.
