Either kadrons, 36 or 40 IDF webers or some dellortos for twin carbs.
1.4:1 ratio rockers.
Won't get much change from $1000 for both.

What kind of power do you need for an airboat? Low down torque or more rpm etc etc?
Id say dont waste your money on the rockers. A mild cam for normal rockers is better value.

Yeah, you need to decide what rpm you need the power at. If you need more low down or even mid range power then carbs and rockers ain't gunna help
much, and a cam will be worse at low rpm. If you need low end power then there's no substitute for cubes.

So, where are the pics ???

Everyone's skipped the regulator question - a used 12V reg should be pretty easy to get from a VW parts place or a wreckers. 6V... well that's a bit
tougher as most people have ditched them and gone 12V... VW parts place and wreckers are possibles, or maybe call an auto sparky and ask about getting
it rebuilt.

Pics not sure how i can post them on here any ideas?
Yeha i am thinkin of a bigger donk maybe try a 1800 or 2000 plus that will prob be my best bet but u guys have given me a few ideas to start with but
i will be throwing more questions at use.
Bit about my airboat it is doing around 35 40 kms on the water i can cross a road at speed which is a bit of a rush haha u r either gonna hit the bank
hard and fly out of your seat or skip over it.
I have the propeller direct off the motor coming off where the harmonic pulley was. had a hub made up.

Before you start modifying, are you getting the desired RPM with your installed prop? If you're not getting enough RPM, you might just need a prop
with less pitch to get the thrust you need from your available power.
