back seat 71 bug help me!
hi, can anyone help me ? i need to get back seat out of my 71 bug , how do you do it ? i've been struggle with the back seat for 40 mins and it
won't budge, what gives? there is a hole lot of crap from previous owner in back storage area and water has leaked in from a gap in the rubber at the
top of the back window and i need to clean all the dodgy carpet out and see what rust issues there are. please help .I've cum in side and had a beer
and now feel a little relax but i got to go out and clean this bug . cheers TC

which part? the whole back seat? the bottom where ur bum sits or the back rest part?

69' baja: kombi box, thing spindles, irs, disc front, type 3 rear drums, 2 inch lift kit, 31x10 rears.
New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!

Bottom bit should come out via pulling it UP from the front and then pull out... of the bottom frmae it sits in
The back rest bit, now that the bottom is out, should have 2 bolts at either side (at each bottom corner) in these metal brackets holding it from
memory.. its been a while though..

Don't forget to first unlock the backrest by pulling the strap on the passenger side, makes things so much easier
