fitting trans 57 oval

hi, i am fittin a091 into my bug. ? is where does the standard trans finish at the rear of the car. on the rear firewall , there is a step in it, does the standard setup finish level with the top section of firewall which runs up to where the bonnet hinges are. or does it finish flush with the lower section which is just above the trans, before it steps out to the higher firewall. hope u can understand......thanks greg

Here is one Barry Cripps prepared earlier.
Those alminium mounts are by Mark G.
A bus trans will need to be mounted as far forward as possible to et the bell housing at the same point.

thanks dave, it looks about the same distance from the framehorns as i have, although i think it may be a later bug than 57, cause the firewall looks like it has no step , but goes straight from under the window straight down till it goes horizontal above the trans.
