Well then start with a new master cylinder, sounds like yours is 'bypassing' fluid. From there I would replace the rear wheel cylinders, chances are they are leaking too and new pads and shoes if they need it. Mechining the disc's is reccomended also if they are thick enough other wise replace them also. I've always got away with a bit of sand paper round the inside of the drums before refitting them.

Just some random advice, take it or leave it dude???

Cheers Dave!

I woke up thinking about roll cages....... and that Targa Wrest Point is affordable for me to enter in my own car, if I can get a cage in it and get the rest of the stuff done in time and not end up in Jarkarta for 3 years...... overseas travel or motorsport.... hard decisions!

But I need to talk to my driver and the other navs about running at Targa Tas next year, and hopefully jeff has bought a Gt3 road car (or a turbo)......

To many things to think about when I wake up....

I have no sympathy for my car, only the wallet that pays for it!

Hey BiX, how about you start small and think about entering a hillclimb or sprint in your own car... Jezebel and I would love some company !!!

;)

I woke up thinking about how nicely the ratios in my soon-to-be-built hillclimb box will suit the Leyburn Sprints layout next year....no, wait - that was today... Sunday I woke up thinking how much fun I was about to have tearing around the streets at Leyburn for the day !!!

Dude If your master cylinder is old and your pedal goes to the floor then it's stuffed and nothing will work without that! Old master cylinders develop dirt and crap down the bottom of the cylinder over years and ounce you push the cups inside down into that they usually wont seal very well again. So when your at the lights for eg your foot might creep slowly to the floor, if yours does this then it needs replacing and if you get the brakes you have working properly you'll be suprised how good they already are, so I would just put stock parts in, but entirely up to you.
