HELP!!!!

Hi new Kombi (74 bay) owner and need some help with it. Ive got a reccuring problem i think with fuel. Im sitten there just crusen alon quite smoothly when all of a sudden power is lost to the engine, the revs drop and most of the time the engine dies. Also after going along for a while when I push the cluch in the revs drop to almost stall a i have to change gear quick or keep fethering the throttel.

Please help, just want to know what the prob may be and solutions to said delema would be great.

It could be caused by many things...the first I'd check fuel filter...what kind of engine is fitted?

fuel pump could also be the prob, it might be finel at low speeds but when cruising it uses up the fuel in the fuel bowl as its not getting enough from the pump.....as cb john said it could also be the filter, possibly even a kink in the soft section of the fuel line, you may need to just use process of elimination and work your way through the fuel system...

Shame to say, but exactly the same symptoms on my bus were caused by cracked fuel lines on " T " piece / T4 engine /and fuel filter full of crap...

things to check in order:

Fuel Filters (they are a couple of bucks replace it anyway)
Drain the carby bowl (s) and pull your jets out, blow them out with compressed air
perhaps even wait for the problem to occur and then take the top off the carbies after u stop the engine to see if the float bowls are full. (might be a faulty pump)
