whatever you wish to call me!
i'm 18 years old and live in south east suburbs of melbourne.
My sister owns a 1975 superbug which has been rebuilt from the ground up about 5 or 6 years ago now.
The only thing left from the original chassis is the trans tunnel
The only thing we didn't fix was the horrible body.
as she didn't have the funds or time to do it as you all probably know bodywork is a very long and extensive, never mind expensive part of building a
car.
It just so happens I'm an apprentice spray painter (2nd year)
and she's going over to bali for 3 weeks so i'm ripping apart the car replacing a few things and respraying it.
Joined up here to try and source a few parts aswell as get advice and check out some buggy projects.
I'm trying to convince my sister to get rid of her motor and put in an ej20 from a subaru impreza but shes to much of a purist for such sacrilege
so...who has a spare bonnet and front fenders for a 1975 superbug :P
I'll put up and a few photos tomorrow and make a thread in the next week or so when the build really kicks off.
I'm hoping anybody out there into amateur panel beating/spray painting will get something out of it!!!
