[FS - NSW] not vw - kawasaki motorbike **SOLD**

Seller: Toby
Location: Dural, Sydney 2158
Contact: PM or email briaros at optusnet
Description: Kawasaki GPX250 road bike
Condition: Fair
Price: $750

This is a 1988 kawasaki GPX250 motorbike which I've had for about 5 years and barely used. It is black with red pinstripes with a twin cam, twin carb, twin cylinder engine. They have proven to be a very popular Japanese bike for many years. It has been unregistered for more than a year now and needs a blue slip if rego'd in NSW. Passed a blue slip 2 years ago for rego with the only problem being the right muffler has a few holes in it. Muffler bandage got it rego'd but it needs to be done again or ideally replaced. It would cost about $300 for 12 months rego in NSW. The previous owner rode and maintained it himself for around 10 years.

There is a small dent and missing red pinstripes on fuel tank. The fork seals also need replacing which is not hard I just didn't get around to it. I bought some and will include them if I can find them! The fairings are all there and could be made to look their best again. Tyres are also very good 90% tread and I put a new battery in it 2 years ago although it's flat and I need to charge it. I also rebuilt the carbs and the fuel tank was repaired professionally to fix a leak. The seat was recovered some years ago and still looks fantastic. It could use a new clutch but it still rides fine so I never bothered. Has always been stored in my garage while I've had it.

**MUST BE PICKED UP BY TUESDAY 15/9**

Also included in the price is a full photocopied service manual, a second hand medium helmet and near new meduim size gloves.

Cheap economical transport, learner legal and just in time for the warmer weather!!

**MUST BE PICKED UP BY TUESDAY 15/9**

Priced to sell straight away but you'll have to LOG IN first

Will also be advertised elsewhere.

Pics tomorrow when i wash off the dust and get it started!

post some pics. Why pick up by 15/9/09? That seems like a bargaining tool to me, or is it you need to get it out and wanna negotiate a deal of sharing it? . i need another bike to keep my 3rd one company. Bikes are actually my bigger passion to VWs
BTW can tell u now yr batterys stuffed. Bike batterys dont last 2 years without use

Hi kombivw!
No bargaining tools here...I'm picking up and moving to Adelaide that day!!
The battery may well be stuffed, but it is less than $50 for a new one so no biggy as you would know.
It's been a good bike and it's going way under market value.

Got it started by jumpstarting it off the car. As kombivw predicted, the battery is shagged.

Here are a few pics...
