noisy box

i would like to know if parts are available for a gearbox for a 1970 beetle 1500 its very noisy and would like to repair it straight away

I was quoted from my own local VW mechanic around $1200 for gearbox rebuild.

If you haven't done your clutch cable and plates, it may be a good time to have that done as well
