hey guys whats the go with beam exstensions in volks rods are they legal in qld or any where in aus need to know for my next project .................................

short answer no, but you can extend the pan head... :S in the rat rot section of the forum there are quite a few discussions about this topic.

does anybody know if steve penroses rod was enginered with the exstension if so how did he make it pass

i really cant see the big deal in it ive looked at the us made ones and they look great thick plates great welds and the use the same bolting pattern as the original wats the prob

Simply, altering the wheelbase of a vehicle means engineering. Consult your approved engineer in your state and go from there.

okay this is it ive been told from my engineer its a trip to qld transport for a strength test for the front beam then if it passes we will buy the extension and then re test it with it conected sounds easy enough and worth a go...... Let the Exstension B:crazy:egin
