WTB, 1973 Front Seats C/W Bases

Hi Guys

Im after the front seats and bases for a 1973 beetle. I need the whole lot, the seats the runners and the brackets that weld to the floor.

I cut all mine of and started fitting aftermarket high back reclining seats, now Im not happy with the look, its a little tacky so need to go back to original.

Thanks Trevor

Hi Les

No Idea what they are, well I suppose it doesnt matter as long as they will fit into the 73 beetle. As long as they come with the brackets that weld to the floor then they should fit in hey. Here is a pic of the brackets that where originally in it. Thats the parts I need so I can weld them back to the floor and install the seats, Do you have the lot.

No the 3 point seats that I have are different, what you want are T rail seats, but as you don't have the slides you could also fit the early 1500 seats and weld the brackets to suit. the brackets are available from H&M Ferman in Peakhurst for a reasonable cost. I am not sure what the bracket for my 3 point seats look like but you could probably use them in a pinch. Cheers Les

The 3 point mount seats have 1 moutt at the front with the adjuster and 2 at the rear, they do not suit your car.I have a pair of black seats in a convertible that I will be possibly repairing in the future, the drivers seat has a small split and needs a trim repair .$350 the pair Let me know if you are interested Cheers Les. ps. you will still need the runners from Fermans to weld to the floor or if you like I will supply them at cost..

Thanks Joel I didn't have any pics of the floor area as I haven't had a lot to do with this model bug, most of mine are earlier T mounts or the old early mounting.Les
