Front mount radiator setups.
As the title suggests I'm looking for ideas on what works/what doesn't; what looks good/what doesn't;
To fill you in......
I have a 70 bug that I want change the engine, I'm happy to do fab-ing etc myself;handy with a welder; so no probs there. But as I've not done an
engine swap before input and tips are appreciated.
I want to it to be a sleeper so keeping the smooth lines on the front is important to me, was thinking of a late front vented apron but don't know if
it will fit a 1600 (non super) bug.

one of the ones we did , we used a small cross flow radiator out of a alfa or something like that. its not even half the size of the stock turbo
Subaru radiator and it works fine. make sure its rubber mounted and try to keep from using steel covers around it cause it conducts heat really good
and you make a little oven under your bonnet and it heats up every thing eg fuel tank even inside your car. if you look at a new cars all the scoops
covers , fan ,fan shroud are plastic.

i just got some expanded metal for my black bug
paint it black and put a bumper on u wouldnt even know its there
you dont need a huge opening
theres only a small bunch of slots in my current white bug and its running cool as
