| Head Beam Problem with Super Bug 1973

 Hello, everyone.

My model is 1973 Super bug. I'm having problem with lighting system.

At Head light bottom on righth hand side, You can press it two steps for low beam and high beam.

When I press to low beam every lights are fine( Head light, rear light and light on speedometer) but I turn down to high light rear lights and light
on speedometer don't work(off).

My questions are which part of electrical system in my bug is broken or doesn't work?

And can I fix it by myself (hard to do it by myself or not)?

I just call a volkswagen shop which is closest with my home. I can bring my car to them on Saturday. They have machnice on Mon-Friday only.

 Thank you very much

sounds more to me like they're talking about the headlight rocker switch that Lbugs have on the right hand side of the dash

If it is a 73 bug the 2 step switch is parkers and low beam

High beam is activated by flicking the indicator lever

Is the "blue" light on, on the dash??

It "could" be a bad earth

Important question - has it EVER worked??
Is this a new problem or has it always been a problem??

It could also be the switch itself
Pretty sure there are a couple of different types

Some one may have put a wrong one in and cooked it??

Unless you have some idea of electrics i would leave it for some one who does

There are 2 screws in the front that earth the head lights.
One in the red circle - one on the other side.

make sure these are biting nicely - may be put a star/claw washer under neath

Give the indicator swith a pull towards you (a little tap??) so as the blue light goes off and see what the lights are like then
