visor clips
Hi guys, need some advice on these clips. In the pictures, the clip on the right is the type currently in the car but both are now broken. I bought
the ones on the left but they don't fit in the current holes in the headliner and the slot for the sunvisor rod is too small.
Does anyone know where to get the clip on the right?
thanks

Its a 67 beetle, but I really wouldn't know if the clips are original.

Both visors are the same shape, unlike the ones you pictured in the US spec. They do interfere with the mirror.
here's a pic of the setup

Clips are available at Vintage 9789-1777
I think the 67 is one year only with the clips

Thanks guys, Vintage carry them in grey, other colours haven't been around for a couple of years apparently.
They also said this was a one year only (beetle 67) and on early type 3's too.
For reference, here's a pic of what my 67 visor looks like.
Anyone else with this setup? They look like type 3 visors as well.

Honestly can say I've never seen those type of clips...
the standard late clips were even hard to buy until a few years ago... now they are everywhere..
but I've never seen those type before..
does Your engine lid have a push button lock??

Hi
ODD visors.. they actually interfere with Your mirror..
maybe were made for type 3s which were wider..
VW was making many mods in GERMAN Beetles from 1965>
the German 67 had one year only round bush button door handles.. door windows were also one year only..
vertical headlamps with horn grills... [USA]

Lee - engine lid has the t handle, its an oz 67.
After much trawling through the samba galleries, I found this pic of a 62 notch with the same clips. I'm guessing that a previous restorer used type3
visors, because even if the clips are original I don't think it would have been sold with sunvisors that block mirror space.

YES
I think You are correct...
the visors look nice but being longer than needed... ??lol
Maybe beetle visors would still fit..
as its the steel bar not the visors that fit into the clips..
cheers
