For anyone wanting to know, i just spoke to a guy who knows kadrons well
rebushing $150
2x gasket kits $60
2x aircleaners $70-80
main gaskets around $12
replacing steel with alloy manifolds $100
fine tuning and jetting $120
NOTE these are approx prices only

you can buy new complete sets for 8-900 and they all need fine tuning still so when you consider a second hand set for 500 which need redoing, may as well get new ones unless you can get old ones which are good!

i put a set of rods kads on my 1916, he got them from the states, i got them unchecked, he hoped they were a pair, and hoped they would work! We put them on gave them a tune and have not touched them since. Put the car on the dyno and didn't touch a thing tuning wise. realisticly you shouldn't really need to jet them depending on what engine they are on. Mine are stock and they seem to range from 1600 to at least my 1916.... I got the whole kit from rod second hand and sent up over night. could not be happier! Rod is da bomb!

I bought set online from VW PARTS in the states about a year ago when dollar was same as now and cost $560 including postage. Arrived at my door 10 days after placing order. Been running them on 1600 in 64 bus for last 3 months, all good.
