There is a supplier called "Industrial Rubber Products" in Brisbane who carry a range of sizes. They pressurize the struts themselves so you can choose the force you want (anything from 100N to 700N). These have a ball joint and M8 stud at each end. If you post the required max and min lengths I'll check their catalogue when I'm next in the office.
