Who can tell me more about this treasure?


This is something I have been holding onto for some time now, I think its a little less than common, but can anyone confirm this for me.
Double visor rear mirror from oval beetle. Note the smaller drivers visor, and one piece connection between the two visors.

what you have is a oval cabrio rhd visor and flip mirror....the smaller visor is the give away for being RHD .....there are a few people out there who could do with this part in OZ ...how did you find this rare spare cheers steve

Yes

that is VERY rare.. can't get much rarer...

RHD cabrios were never sold in Australia...

and most were LHD...

the mirror is adjustable for when the top is up or down

There is a guy in the UK doing a mega buck rebuild of and oval cabrio and I reckon he would kill for that!!

My 55 had similar visors and mirror to this but it was a long time ago (1967) and I can't remember where the mirror was mounted.
