Fan shroud painting...?? Hi temp or normal acrylic??
I got heaps of normal acrylic. will it do the job?
Or do i have to go grab some hi-temp engine enamel?

Go get it powdercoated. This should resist scratches as well.

normal Acrlyic will be fine ok to use......not the best, but still works fine !

If you dont want a standard look some of the hammertone or galmet paints can look good and real tough as well. Looks a bit like some of the powder
coats that are quite popular on some cal look cars. I used a gunmetal one ages ago and turned out pretty nice.

+ i'm not sure if many would be interested,
its no 8 second oval full resto.
If anyones keen i will. i have had a few requests.

tinware never gets hot enough to properly cure engine enamel
ive never had a problem using only plain enamels
they last fine if you put the prep in

Hi Chris
Fan shroud doesn't get that hot..
but the tinware over the heads does get hot...
but I always use car enamel spray cans...
using an undercoat...
this time I have used High Temp spray cans same as i use on the exhaust...
Car enamel should be OK...
I see lots of cars with the tinware painted the same color as the car...
With A BAJA [Baha] You shouldn't have overheating tinware..
