Cruise Night

There may be an equivilant elsewhere in the land of Oz but this just blew me away. Last night being so damned hot I went for a walk with the mut and my lady along the foreshore in Newcastle, couldn't believe the number of cars cruising and parked up the top near Nobbys, all sorts cruising and parked bumper to bumper, ricers, bombadoors, foulcoons even a late vw van (saw it a little latter out away from the trafic and it was definatly not standard, went like the clappers) some with the doof doof music (?) even a T bucket with a bickie and his girl, what an amazind atmosphere, got talking to a cupla young bloke and their girls and they said that's normal for a Thursday night, heard one girl telling another that they had to park "way back there behind the purple ute" we found the purple ute about half a k down the road and there was more cars parked behind that, all seemed to be calm and no burn outs etc, just people enjoing a cruise and their cars, might take the bugeye in next week if I can find a wig and dye my beard.

Yeh Thursday nights are pretty popular here in Cairns too. Mostly just ricers but now and again you get a good looking car coming along. Sunday arvo's are peak cruising times haha

Yeah Ian, I knew it has been going on for ages, but the numbers and variety blew me away, based on one very hot night I know but couldn't see why the constabulary are down on it.

Yeah the police like to do a blitz in that area on those nighs every now and again. Its not a bad thing though, otherwise you get the bogans coming in all the time showing off their burnouts etc and the people going in looking for a fight. If your car is legit and your not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't worry about getting done.
