KO 370-401 Emerges into the sun
After 10 years in my shed I have finally draged out my Buggy to begin working on it The photo posted on Oct 2 of 401 was the last photo I had it was
taken about 18 years ago when it had been sand blasted and professionly painted about 4 years later one of my sons didn't like the colour because it
was being used as a work runabout so he got a roller and painted it green The floor pan and all the running gear is off my original 370 which I
brought new in sept 1968 the body 401 I purchased in the late 70s There will probably be a lot of questions I will be asking over the next couple of
years ( this is not one of these TV shows where everything is done in 3 weeks) But the first thing I have to work out is what to do with the lousey
job done on the flared guards they are handy when running bigger tyres. I was wondering if I should cut them off stengthen the back and get some
rubber flares if I can get them or any other suggestions please.
I am trying to send Pics but don't know how???

Art,
Good to see another CB revealed to the world after all those years in hibernation.
Looks to be in good overall shape.
Those fender flares don't do much for me, but I'm sure they served a purpose at one time.
I wasn't sure if I was first looking at a boat storage rack at a marina or a real CB! 
Keep up the good work and by all means keep us informed!

Art has a great story behind this CB as he used it for many years as his workhorse for a plumbing business. You can see the added racks and carrying
capability he built into the vehicle. I think its great to see it out in the sun and am sure it will be back to life before he realises it.
Yep, agree ,those flares dont do alot for the vehicle and I think I would be removing them as one of the first activities.

Nice machine Art. There's some metal missing under those flares, you wouldn't get those tyres under there with the original metal. Nothing's
impossible to fix. I see at least one genuine CB seat hanging on the wall there, that's good news. Be nice if you could keep the old plumbing sign
with the short phone number.

I supose for the purists the flared guards are a no no, but owing to the fact that I have 2 bodies I thought I would like to run this one with bigger
tyres , and the problem I found with the standard guards when locking up and cornering hard on rough roads the front tyres tend to hit the top of the
guards . So thats why I would like leave more space but I want it to look like a better job than it is ,all comments and advice appreciated. Art.
