Information on monaro motors SU carb kit.
Hello
Picked up a Monaro motors dual SU carb kit over here in the states and am in the process of restoring it for my 36hp motor.
So i am hunting for any information, ads, pictures, kits for sale, magazine articles on this kit. Thinking that it could make some really nice power
on a 1200cc stroker motor with larger SU carbs.
I have read this thread.
Thanks for any input.

Hello,
I live in USA and also own a Morono kit. It has 2 - 1 1/8" SU carbs with cast aluminum inkakes and linkage. The carbs were used on early Austen
Healey bugeye sprite cars with 948 engines. I too am looking for original Australian car magazine ads showing this old VW kit for 36hp or 40hp
beetles. Does anyone out there have anything for us? I am also interested in buying another kit if someone has one. I am also looking for a vintage
36hp or 40hp muffler where the tail pipes come out of the ends of the muffler. Made in Australia in 1950's or 1960's? Tim (USA) |

Can anyone give the history of Monaro motors? Was it a car dealership or parts dealer?
Any other info would be great.
--Thanks--

Tried - don't think it worked - to PM a copy of an advert. for SU kit. If you PM your email address I will send it via email - I seem to be able to
work that OK!
Cheers, Greg
