Not all Kombis, as the T3 (1980-92) is 60mm longer than the T1 and T2, and the T4 and T5 are longer still.

Lee we are the old-fashioned ones who buy VW books! The iGeneration just ask on forums.
Anyway, to follow the wheelbase query, here are the front/rear track dimensions, from period road tests. I'm just going to stick to Beetles, rather
than Golfs, Kombis etc. Being road tests, they are probably not accurate to the nearest mm, but to the nearest 0.1 inch as that's what Australian
reports used in those days.
VW 1200 36-bhp (to 1960) - Front 1290 mm, Rear 1245 mm
VW 1200 40-bhp (1961-65) - Front 1305 mm, Rear 1288 mm
VW 1300 (1966-67) - Front 1305 mm, Rear 1300 mm
VW 1500 (1968-70) - Front 1308 mm, Rear 1350 mm
VW 1600 Superbug S (1971-72) - Front 1380 mm, Rear 1351 mm
VW 1600 Superbug L (1973-75) - Front 1392 mm, Rear 1360 mm
VW 1600 Beetle (1976) - Front 1315 mm, Rear 1360 mm

As Phil said the road test data may not be accurate.
Maybe other people have factory owners manuals.
I have a 1300 Deluxe owners manual, 1305 front, 1288 rear
I still have the owners manual from my old 1972 1302, it had 4.5x 15 rims, the 71 1302 had 4 x 15 rims.
Front track with drums 1387, with discs 1391, rear track 1362.
My 1974 1303 owners manual makes no mention of discs or drums
Front track 1394 or 1407 with sport wheels, rear track 1349 or 1363 with sport wheels. The stock wheels were 4.5 x 15 ET 41 and the sports wheels were
5.5 x 15 ET 26
