Hi ratio rockers on a boosted engine


Ok guys, after a stint working os, and other distractions I'm back to finish the super charger install on the replica.
I have a 1916 with a 110cam (appRently), going to replace the rocker shafts with solid ones, question is though should I fit rockers with more lift on a boosted engine?

hey Nick, glad to here your back at it

just be aware W series cams can only run 1.25s at the most so no 1.4s
but seeing as its a force fed engine anyway ratio rockers probably wont give as much bang fo buck as they would on an N/A motor

I ran 1.25 ratio rockers on my blow thru 2110. It ran well from low revs to about 6000rpm, although the stroker crank would have helped with torque at low revs. Make sure you have sufficient deck height to avoid valve contact with the pistons.

it will keep the valve open longer so more fuel in is good use the 1.4s

you may find that getting air to a motor that big will be a problem fuel is easy i have noted that with the smaller blower a 12 is a bit small but the 14 should do a better job
have a look at the amount of air that can be shoved through a pair of webbers or caddies big holes
just a thought
