Hi Matthew
I have a 1500 single port manifold which may be the one You need... depending on what engine You have..
the ends of the manifolds are not adjustable...
unless You cut one end and place a rubber hose over the join..
I also presume the hole size at the inlet side would also be different sizes too..??
and the carburetor holes/inlet at the top would also be different for each carburetor size... PICT 28-30-31-32
best of luck
LEE

here are to pictures to discribe what i am on about. in picture 1 there are spacers between the carby and manifold to make the carby (accelerator
pump) clear the generator. picture 2 has no spacers (just a thick gasket) and clears the generator. both motors are 1500sp. my question is why are
they different and does any1 have a "bigger" manifold laying around so i can get rid of the spacers????
cheers

pod, single carb type3s were sidedraft so way different to a bug manifold
Matt, the problem you have is cos the cars been converted to 12 volt.
the 6 volt gennys are smaller in diameter than 12volts
is it a 40hp manifold or 1300?
the difference is easy to pic

i guess its possible that one is off a 6 volt 1300 and the other is 12volt 1500
the mounting flange on the 12 volt ones may be across alittle further to clear the bigger genny cos the rest is all the same

1300 is different to 1500...larger tube too on 1500 from memory.
Plenty of info on it in "How to Hotrod VW Engines".
