WTB: BOSCH Distributor VJU 4 BR 3 T
I'm looking for one of these suckers to go on my Feb 54 36hp.
Anyone got one? Will offer plenty of $$, or swap for assorted 54 bits (ribbed handles, hearts etc)

Are you sure its a "3" and not an"8" Cast iron narrow body with scew in vacuum advance can, blank square after the 8 with a letter?

Definitely a BR 3. The BR 8 distributors started in August 54.
If anyone locates a BR2, I'd take that as well

BR8's had wire clips as standard until at least Oct 55 / 56 year model. I haven't figured out when they stopped using the wire.

Found one! - cost an arm and three legs though
I got it rebuild by Ed Fall - the man produces exceptional work. I was gobsmacked when it arrived, considering how average it looked to start
with!
