Depends on what brakes but should fit depending on offset i suppose. I have 14s on my super with std disks but am unsure if anything has been modified.

Anyone know if the 914 2.0l style rims fit standard S Beetle front discs?
I want to get hold of a set but I heard they dont work with disc brakes.
Sorry to side track the OP.

14s will clear all bug discs,

the only times theres interferance is on strut bugs and its only when the splash gaurd is bent
theres shits loads of room if u take the splash gaurds off
beam bugs have much smaller splash gaurds which are nowhere near the rims

brad 914 rims are 15" arent they
should clear no probs
ive seen plenty of disc bugs around with them

15'' x 5.5'' on repro's. The offset is better on these than most aftermarket 8 spoke etc. type rims. A super low front end on a strut front really limits options. Around a Type 3 offset workes and looks really good.
The MAM catalog states that the 2.0's dont work with disc's but I am not sure if US discs (ghia) are the same specs as our S and L beetle discs. But if you have seen people runing them ,thats good enough for me.

ghia discs were the same, it may be to do with the internal webbing interfering with the caliper or something then
ive just seen 1500 bugs around with them but maybe the originals are cast differently to repoops
