Anyone else watch tonights 7pm project?? See the beetle go past George Negis when they crossed to him in Darwin lol. Looked like a oval by the look of the back windscreen. Anyone on here own it??

I didn't see that but i was watching a show about darwin the other day and there was a manx parked in the background while the guy was talking...

I didn't see it but my wife did. George Fungus even mentioned it 'hang on a minute, a Volkswagen beetle is driving past'.

She says it was early but not oval, with a roof rack. :tu:

It wasn't an oval, but it was a white or cream colour, early to mid 60s I reckon. Looked pretty stock - nothing out of the ordinary.

I saw it on the 7pm edition, then again on the 11.45pm edition. I would have had a closer look the 2nd time if I had realised there was a quiz. lol

I also saw the beetle in question on the 7pm project and Im thinkin Darwin has had a few Volksies in its time, my Beetle even has a really old faded,falling apart Darwin Rifle Club sticker still on the back window!!! And its a 57' !!!!:lol:
