How To Tell what Turbo Ive Got

Okay so i picked up a turbo from super owen last night and have had a look and i like what i see.

Its a garrett i can tell that but thats all it says on its badge thingo is

A 662 090 30 80 Is printed on it then
454224-1 T25
BG 0167K

Ill post some pics tommoro but it also has A/R.51 cast into it and also has M27 BSK2 Cast into it.

It is internally wastegated.

Thats about all i can say about it.

One more question can i just bolt it up to my header to see what it sounds like without running anything off it or will that wreck it

Cheers Josh

its just a T25, nothing overly special about it

wouldnt do it any favours at all spinning it with no oil through the bearings

I didnt think about the oil bit, lucky i asked.

Ive already sent some emails about carbon seals and we are doing engines etc in engineering at school atm and im gunna take the turbo in and the teacher and i are gunna see if we cant say that we need the seals to get it working for a experiment and get money from the school to get them.

Should i worry about changing oil thickness etc if i plan on running this or should i just stick with 15w40.
