Parts compatability? 72 - 75

What 73 - 75 Kombi running gear can be interchanged into a 72 SC ute? I know the motor and gearbox will bolt in but what about steering, suspension, electricals, interior cab bits, etc?

Cheers
Dave

Probably 95% the same. The '75 had a different steering column arrangement with different switches and wiring than the earlier models. Other than that, you'll probably get away with swapping everything.

well i have just done that swap i had an 1600 that cooked itself long story, next was an 1800 with gearbox, great did a cam lobe out with that and in with a 2lit i used a 2 lit box less hassel as the 1800 won't fit and requires a swap of bell housings as for any other fixes there is none so a sum up
all engines will fit a 72 lowlite also a very specia 73 early year jan feb and mybe march
the gear box sharft stay,s all cablesl no changes so happy fitting i would not go back to a 1600.and highway speeds with no problems
