electrical prob please help


okay this is how it goes starts and runs rough pops when u excelerate but when u hold the lead from the cap then rev it all goes away WAT DA ........... if it helps its a new cap and new petronix 009 MAN ITS DRIVING ME NUTS

If it all goes away when you hold the lead them must be a poor connection between the lead and cap or to where the other end of the lead goes

something similar happen to me and was caused by spark lead from coil to dizzy
if u think it's electrical it could be your coil aswell
does it struggle to rev?

no it doesnt struggle to rev, once u have got the lead to the edge of the cap its nice and crisp i have another coil ill put that on and see thanks guys if any one else has any info let me know

What lead is it??
HT one from coil to cap??

Maybe there is a break in the lead??
Try changing lead??

Might sound obvious, but double check the firing order of the plugs. I have had this before and it was cos I had swapped a couple of leads in wrongly.

start it and run at night you may be able to see the spark shorting out, when i did it it looked like an alian vw
