They are the same as Type 2 only slightly wider, therefore can be run at a greater angle and / or have more end float. They were big with the
“budget” off road racers (years ago), better than Type 2, much cheaper than 930 Porsche. The aftermarket made axles for type 2 in assorted
lengths that you could use. You just needed to treat them with the care required. Now I see that 930 joints are only US$80 and all the stubs and
