Name Badges- Good idea or drop it?

Okay, I'm showing my age here, but when I was a young lad C.B. Radio was big around my town. It was a good way to talk to your mates from school and also get to know new people - copy':?:'

Back then you would wear a badge with your 'handle' on it so that when people met you face to face they would know what name you went by on the C.B. (everyone had a 'handle' and rarely broadcast their real names)
Rubber duck, convoy and all that crap - Roger that':?:'

The badges said 'You've Just Eyeballed ........" and the local C.B. shop would punch label your 'handle' on to the badge when you bought it.

Let me know if you think this would be a useful idea to help identify fellow AVD Members by name at any of the shows.

Prices would depend on numbers but I was thinking about ordering about 30+ to keep the price down and selling them through another site also. The badges would be 35mmx75mm (good size to wear on a cap) printed plastic name tags with a pin on the back and your name 'punch' taped on in the old skool way. 10/4?

I'm collecting feedback / numbers to see if it's worthwhile before I get a price and place an order but from an initial enquiry the price point would be between $5 and $8

If I get positive feedback from enough members I'll let you know if it goes ahead and take orders through the 'Parts for Sale' Forum I guess?

Here's what I was thinking-

MAYBE ON A CAP...

but there are many names on here that wouldn't look good on a badge or cap etc..

I do prefer to use My real name...

look up Lee Noonan on google and You can where I've been... lol...

AVD stickers are fine. People who want to know me, know me. And I'm happy with that. Works the same way with the people I want to know.

Thanks for being honest guys. I'll let the idea stay in the 80's where it belongs and get back under the single cab.

When you see me at Valla don't be afraid to say hi.
