2 ltr top end rev range...bit rough?
just put a std 2 ltr into my 74 ute and she runs great, but seems a little inconsistant at the upper end of the rev range. around 100 km's it seems
to hesitate just a tiny little bit. I have had a similar symptom with a previous 1600 untill i replaced the coil, but the coil on this one is new. I
am running std carbs and an empi quiet pack exhaust. the next step is a set of 40 IDF Webers to see if it helps. I assume this will open up my top end
a little and provide a little bit extra grunt? any thoughts?
all help appreciated

Josh I've now got a set of 45 drla dellortos have run 40 idfs and 44 idfs on my bus type 4 but still finishing bug bought a 57 splittie so money is
going into that and trying to finalize bug just bought a set of throttle bodies to go fuel injection. So many little things to do to finish bug.

Your problem may also be fuel related Josh, a vague or hesitant response at 100 km/h can be a fuel delivery issue if the engine seems to pull through
the lower gears ok, but has some issues when fuel demand is higher. Test fuel pump output pressure and volume when the engine is hot.

What about the strainer in the tank feeding your super dooper pump?
