When trying to get H/B cables for my buggy I found that the "sleave" over the cable going into the drum was different on the car to the ones I had
bought and just would not fit, an easy fix for me as I was getting them cut to suit the shortened pan I just cut the handbrake end and threaded the
new cable through the old sleave, maybe the sleave length will tell you what cables you need.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!

There's also different lengths after 72 or 73 as the handbrake lever was moved backwards about an inch
I've got a new one waiting to go into my Lbug I'll get a measurement of it but from memory its the same length as my 74 1300 swingaxle beetles
