Inertia seat belts- - where to buy in Oz?


So as the title says where can I buy some inertia seat belts for my 59 Bug apart from the scrappies?

Look on the Klippan website. They are the manufacturers of seatbelts, and if you know what type you are looking for, look at the aftermarket products list and select the part number you need and order it through you local Bursons, Auto 1, Autobarn, Repco etc.

Hey man if ur ever down springwood way Autobarn in moss st have (well did when i worked there) had quite a selection of belts available over the counter at the spare parts department.

Hi

I bought some from the local parts store made by Klippan, they were the correct ones for a bug, but they don't have the bracket to turn them 90* for correct operation, I bought the brackets from CIP.

You will need to check with your seatbelt fitter to make sure you can legally fit inertia reel belts to your '59. Pretty sure you can only go static on that age.

As per ADR regs I can place a 4mm thick plate a minimum of 3750mm in area within the B post and above the heater channel to mount the belt too :)

I'll check these places out tho. Cheers
