Hi Guys,
How does the following seat sound for fitting into my 68 BUG?

560mm at the wings (shoulders)
420 an the mounting (base)
ans 500 at the knees

Let me know if this will work??? Not sliding at this stage...
Suggestions/ considerations???

Unless you remove the rear seat and rear belts and get it re-plated as a 2 seater. This is perfectly acceptable if you get a report for it.

compare those dimensions against a sparco pro2000, fits snugly, sits slightly over the middle at the tunnel, other than that no problems, then you should find your answer - unless the stupis harness holes sit on your shoulder blades & not above the shoulder themselves :grind:

What STIDUB has said spot on... I have two Sparco Pro-2000's in my 70 bug, but any wider and I think you'd have problems. It's really the "wings" measuremement that's critical I've found.

I've got pics of my fitment up here somewhere... on another thread recently about exactly this subject.

Also with used seats be careful of the date (FIA spec gear expires 5 years after manufacture) and also the ADR compliance.... if you can't prove they're ADR compliant (markings or a certified test report) then they're also not legal.
