Want to buy a new stock carbie......Which model?
Hi guys.
There is a bit of play in the throttle shaft of my 30 pict 2 solex and various other worn parts.
I was hoping to find a refurbished 30pict2 on ebay or samba however i seem to only find 30 pict 1 and 30 pict 3 carbs
I know the pict 3 uses the later style 2 screw adjustment system however am unsure of any other changes.
the pict 1 had a smaller float bowl did it not? but used the single screw?
is there any difference in performance between the carbs? and would the pict 3 be hard to tune?
Also i am running a 009 dissy. does the pict 3 need a vacuum advance?
Lots of questions there. maybe someone can give me a 30 pict 101 lesson.
Would prefer a refurb solex over a Brosol/bocar but happy to hear peoples opinions on them.

Nick I may have a couple in the shed, will check this arvo if you what to play with a few to try to make 1 good one. Nick, carbs advance the dissy not
the other way round. If you have a 009 mech advance dissy, no vac hose needed but block off 1 on carby. Call me on 0417608443...Shane @ cooroy

sorry bone i wasnt clear with what i meant about the vacuum advance. I was refering to the problem that pict 34 solexs have when coupled with 009
dissys and if the pict 3 would have the same problems.
If you had something with a good throttle shaft i would be very interested.
Barry
could you recomend someone to rebuild/rebush a solex for me? I have put numerous gasget kits through my current setup however it is just very sloppy
due to wear.
