New new Beetle
Just got sent this link from my local newspaper editor. I reckon it still looks like crap but not as crap as the current model. Looks a bit more
masculine with the chopped roof line. Can't wait to see it with my own eyes. Only gotta wait 1yr +

I'm not convinced. It does look slightly more masculine than the earlier one, but its starting to look like any number of other small cars and
definitely doesn't have the character of its air cooled ancestors (in my opinion).
Having said that I'm sure you could do worse for a daily driver

That looks terrible, but as the article says, it's in camouflage and will look nothing like that when it is released.

The roof line has been inspired by the Ragster concept from 2005. A little lower and more angular.
The whole thing is not as 'cutesy' as the Mk1 New Beetle, so it may find more buyers in the US, the market for which it was designed. It's based on
the latest Golf Mk6 platform, so it's rather bigger than the old NB that used a 1997 Mk4 Golf platform.

Well that looks way better than it does in the other photos I've seen, but in my opinion it still lacks character
But hey, each to their own I guess.

Haha if you squint whilst looking at photo number 3 it almost looks like a beetle, i really dont lyk the flat stumpy bonnet tho or the crappy
bumbers,
From the side view the bonnet seems to look longer than the current beetle and the flatter/longer roof does do alot for the car, makes the window look
alot more upright like the original and takes away that rubbish look of the new beetle where its just to circular (completely made up of perfect semi
circles)

The rear guards are sweet! I think the whole car is a huge improvement over the older one, now i would consider owning one.
