Hi
the 1968 wiper assembly has the same size wiper shafts as the early cars but proper blades and two speed...
wiper assemblies from 1969> will need larger holes in the body to fit the larger shaft..

Hi,
I have an early 68 Beetle Wiper Motor with the splined drive shaft that is the same as the 6 Volt Wiper Motor so it is a stright swap onto the 6Volt
wiper bracketry.
Just fit a 2 speed switch
$50 plus postage I am in Brisbane.
Cheers,

Anymore 6v or 12v early wiper motors?
Will take a 6v motor if it is a SWF made motor and not a Bosch unit?

Yes,
I remember the Land Rover stainless steel wiper blades...
Lucas??
they would look better than the painted ones....
but they are English and it wouldn't be right... lol
I have a new Lucas fuse box but I wouldn't use it.... lol
cheers
