you don't have or can get a rear LHS bottom section of the pillar for notchback. mine has a pin head sized hole.

its the area the pillar meets the body. Also after a late firewall hump section as this is also rusted on mine.

youll be lucky to find a late type 3 without rust on, in around that hump and threw out bottom pillar sections 6 months ago pretty rusty though.. bugger
just do what all the ones I've scrapped had done ...glue carpet or put sarking over it:lol: or copious amount of bog and silastic.
there's a couple of late type 3's in a local wreckers i'll take a look next time I'm in there.

haha yeah right . I will just get a repair section custom make by a panel beater or something.

Bog is not an option in my books.:rolleyes:

only way to repair body work is:
tig, braze, panel beating and lead filling.

btw this is the first type 3 I have owned to have rust in the sills, firewall hump, inner guards and rear pillar.

all my other type 3 i sold to buy this one did not have any rust at all in the inner guards, firewall hump or door sills.

I always thought the common areas were the roof and bonnets till I joined this forum. guess I was lucky with the previous type 3s I had. I wish I kept them, but I didn't know til after.
