looking for a set of back guards of an early bug for my teardrop trailer, or any ideas would help i tryed beer and burbon neather have helped as a matter of fact i kinda forget what i was trying to do

I've tried lining up rear guards against my box trailer and find the problem to be compensating for the taper in the beetle body that helps the guards sit square (If that makes any sense). Also their length meant that I'd have bugger all ground clearance. The teardrop is probably different though.

no i think you may have found a problem so i will need to rethink the idea and stop using thinking suds well maybe use half the thinking suds

There are plenty of other old-fashioned guards out there which look good. For a trailer you want something which mounts to a flat vertical side, so look for 1930s pickup truck fenders, which are available as reproductions in fibreglass or steel for hot rods.
