[FS - QLD] Subaru Baja**SOLD**01/02/11
After all the dramas of putting my car up for sale only to have someone reverse into it its almost done and back to its better state i have had some
family issues and i need to sell the car quickly.
I need to raise 12 grand so thats the asking price( well below what i planed to have it up for). Shannons have agreed value of $25.0000 which is
still well under what ahs been spent over the years by myself and previous owners.
the is very little to do if any thing as i have replaced or restored just about everything since i have owned the car. please bear in mind while this
car is very special its not perfect as its an offroader and i use it daily and it see's plenty of dirt :o) in saying that it is in great
condition.
I won't bore you with every little detail on here, anyone wants such can ask and i will provied a full list but the basics are..
2inch lift kit
irs conversion
4 wheel disc conversion on a ford stud patten
subaru turbo engine (fully rebuilt with new big and little bearings, pistons, injectors, crank and rods lightend and balanced, oil pump)
microtech lt10 programable ecu with hand controller and laptop program
bar work all renforced and powdercoated
paint work multilayer pearl with ceramiclear (high scratch resistant clear coat that really works)
fully engineered in NSW and QLD
there is heaps more but as i said i won't bore u unless intrested.

i will take some more picture on the weekend as it has had a couple of changes since these were taken, top mount intercooler at the back, twin stripes
down the side on bottom of the doors to match the over body ones
as i said i had planed for a much higer price but i am in a situation and i need the funds so my predicament is someone else gain. This car is well
known and a lot of fun. Any questions will be answered as quickly as possible..

its been a bit of trial and error but for the most part it works fine. I am running a ford XD v8 rad thats been modified to how i wanted it, it was
running two 10inch blow through fans that i have just changed to one 18inch suck through. Around town no matter what heat the day brings it is lucky
to get over 88degrees. Offroad its pretty much the same, the only time it has ever gotten hot(never more than 100 degrees) is in thick mud that has
cloged the rad its self. On the highway it sits around 92/93 at 110kph unless the temperture of the day gets up around the very high 30's and then
she struggles a little bit but removeing the rear engine cover stops that
u travel at more than 110kph it does get warmer depending on your speed but with out the rear cover its never gotten to hot.
I have only once had to remove the cover and that was on a trip down to brissy in 36degree heat and it stayed around the 95 mark all the way down and
i thought i was traveling at 110kph but later testing of speedo shows it was quite out and i was traveling at about 125kph!
the only thing i havn't done that i would like to is fit a fan shroud as this is a proven way to drop temps so that u would never have to remove the
cover.
i had a fair few dramas when i first got it and i tryed a few red set ups before i got it to where it is now and i much prefer the rad at the back
where its much better protected.

oh bear in mind my cover is the duck tail style (kicks up at the back pushing air away from the engine where as i think one of the straight styled
ones would work better

What power is the car making at the moment? I was going to go down the ej22 road, never seen a ea82T on a baja before. Fuel economy?
I live down in Melb, reckon the road worthy certificate would be valid here? - Or be easy to get it engineered?
I thought any type of aftermarket computers were illegal on the road. Maybe the laws are different in QLD.

last dyno was 119bhp at the wheels with 285lb but that was a rough set up from the Microtech install.
as for all the mods its fully enginerred in NSW with it being aproved in QLD from that. I dont know the laws on other states but i am sure it wouldnt
be hard to find out.
There would be no point gettign a QLD roadworthy as it wouldnt be vaild there(u can drive it for upto 3 months i belive on QLD plates etc before you
have to change or so i have been imformed)
power wise the ej22 and ea82t are very close, the ea82 is lighter tho and from what i have read it revs quicker.
i have not heard of aftermarket computers being banned, they are fine to use here i know that much. I do still have the standard subaru ecu so it
could be changed back.. if needed

fuel ecomony is as bad as your right foot!!!! i am very lead footed so it not the best but when i did a trip from brissy its gave good returns, i
honestly can't remember the figures as it was a few years back. i can say its better than my old aircooled 1776 with a side draft webber.
