The roof lining is a big job. First you have to remove the front and rear windscreen and both rear side windows along with all of their rubbers. Then
take out the rear seat and the rear side trims, and it would probably be easiest to take out the front seats first as well. Then you need to remove
the old headlining and replace it with a new one, getting all the metal bows in the right places and stretching it, you will probably need to heat the
vinyl with a heat gun, then crimp it down in lots of little grippers, glue some of the edges, etc. If you want a professional-looking job then I think
it is probably worth getting it done by a professional motor trimmer.

Hi Katrina
Firstly what is Your location??
hard to buy anything without knowing where You are...
especially large items..
doing the roof/hood lining is a BIG job...
Difficult.... even if you had done one before...
Best to get someone who has done one before to do it..
taking out the windows and then replacing them is also a BIG job... well it can be a very difficult job...
and glass does or can break...
sorry for the bad news...
although Many VW owners have done them...
so, its not impossible to do...
but very difficult to do an excellent job..
cheers

Is Brad in Thornton now?
Also Todd from Eastside Kustoms in Beresfield, just got my back seat trimmed from him last week and looks a treat. You can also check out his two vw
manx beach buggies he has if they are in the shop! I know Todd is booked out to January
Have also had work done by Brads custom trim and both places do top notch work.

A start is to get yourself off to Crazy prices or one of those places and get yourself a heap of small spring loaded clamps to hold the glued bits in
place, years ago I did a Morris Minor and used bulldog clips like they use in offices to hold papers together but I reckon the plastic ones like I've
seen in those bargain shops or Bunnings would be a lot better.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross a road without being asked for it's motive!
