Inlet Ports

Hi Guys

You experienced head guys, what do you do with the inlet guide when porting your heads. Normally I would lob it all of level with the casting and then do my work, But I have no idea if the old Veedub heads can handle such a short guide.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Yeah, dont lob it off.
Work around it, but and you can shorten/taper it a little.

Better still, core it out, remove, and do your work,
then replace it with a nice tapered one
that is about 5mm shorter than the original.

You will want to cut the seats properly once the guides are replaced.
