My $4.45 69' Type 1.
Somedays your the bug. Some days your the windscreen.
Today I was both.
Trolling the auction sites last night looking for seats and I found a 69' Type 1 for Buy it Now $4.45. So I bought it.
Within 5 minutes it was paid for and I sent the seller the receipt from the transaction.
I did not think this as unusual as last week I sold 10 items on eBay, six of which sold for $0.01c. An oven, commodore seats too big for the Bunyip,
fireplace and a stroller to name a few. This on top of the fact my 65 was practically given to me for doing an excel spread sheet then a $4.45
registered bug wasn't beyond being simply a bargain from a pissed off, jilted bride.
Sadly it was not to be. It turns out the seller had stuffed up the decimal placement (claims the software screwed her) and so by the end of business
today I put her out of her misery and forfeited the sale. Bugger but being a prick doesn't sit with me well.
The message is:
* Always proof your pages before clicking submit
* If it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is
* As good as a bargain can be, is it really worth the grief
* Karma is a bitch with hawke eyes
Karma was watching me:
Literally minutes after I told my wife that I think this seller has had enough of my mind games as she had sicked the big gun lawyers onto me, (care
not for some kid with a highlighter) and the phone rings.
It was a fellow, local dubber who has a pair of seats for my current project (click on link below in signature). He's cleaning out his garage and
read my post on here last night and said, "There yours, come and get them".
See, it pays to be nice from time to time.
