AC cobra concept

I saw one of these driving around today. I can't find a whole lot about this car ,the only stuff I can find is about it being a concept car but nothing about it going into production.
Does anyone know anything about these or did I see a concept car driving on the street.
It looked awesome on the road and was one of the tuffest sounding cars I've ever heard.

yeah they're cool as!

only one made for the concept.........then 3 fiberglass versions made direct off the concept for a movie (with a "run o the mill") chassis and driveline

sooooooo, who know wether you saw one of those, or perhaps the mold from the movie has been put to good use

Wow. I can't believe I saw one outside a primary school in west Brisbane.I was just picking my daughter up from after school care and it came up the road and pull up in front of me to do a u-turn.
It was a perfect replica ,interior and everything. It looked like something you would get from a manufacturer.

you most probably saw a DRB 540, a new kit or turnkey car from DRB Cobra. Uses modern falcon running gear and 5.4 V8. looks almost the same as the concept car
